My aunt, like many other adults, has been through a lot in her lifetime. She always tells me that there are..evil people out there. You know its so weird, when you are younger, you think everyone is like you. You try to empathise with things, and imagine how you would feel if you were in someone else's shoes. But really, if empathising is being able to relate to someone else's feelings, then we aren't really doing that, because everyone is different! So technically speaking, we aren't really empathising with anyone, if you know what I mean.
At this age, I think I'm supposed to know that there are all kinds of people all there that think differently to you, to a massive extent, but I can't really digest that thought exactly still.
Dose of self-centredness perhaps?

Are we all thinking too much.
no. haha. this is definitley not too much.
You're right. It's very rare to meet someone with whom we can truly empathise. There are some people, though, who seem to have the capacity to read and understand how somebody else is feeling, even if that somebody is a totally different kind of person. I think it's a matter of connecting with people through diferent channels of approach.
