“ I don’t care if the whole world is against you or teasing you or saying you’re not gonna make it. Believe in yourself. No matter what. They laughed at the Wright brothers. They laughed at Thomas Edison. They laughed at Disney. Study the greats and become greater.

Except I think you have to be very careful how you define 'greatness.' The way the world defines it tends often to be very shallow in the greater scheme of things, and those who seek it often end up destroying themselves - and sometimes others - along the way. And seeking to become great in terms defined by the world at large is not necessarily believing in yourself, but in your ability to follow somebody else's road.
I think 'great' means becoming the greatest YOU can be. Kind of like perfecting yourself, but knowing at the same time that no one can be perfect.
In other words, doing your personal best and always trying, but also knowing when to stop.
So, c'mon Lu. Does that mean doing your best at everything, or only those things you choose? I do wish I could come over there and have a few hours discussing this kind of thing with you lot. I'm becoming quite fond of the Sydney Circle. It's an environment I've never moved in before. Thank you, ladies.
Hi guys:)
hmm i would have to agree with Luce. But yeah, who the hell defines best but yourself. Its not like any of those guys(MJ, Disney, etc) excelled in every area of life. They just stood up for what they believed in and worked for it. And improved themselves.
